Testimonials

"Daria at SOURCEsem delivers results-oriented and data-backed digital marketing that actually works. We had previously hired several other digital firms, none of which could produce much in the way of results. Once we started working with SOURCEsem, we saw impressive lift in our numbers across the board, and Daria could point out exactly why and how they achieved this. Daria is incredibly knowledgeable and refreshingly clear, walking us through the various pieces that needed to be put in place for a complete digital marketing strategy. Whether we are working on website optimization, SEO, blogging, ppc, or social media, Daria consistently offers valuable, actionable insights, and goes way above and beyond what we paid her to do. Also, it doesn't hurt that Daria is a great communicator who is possessed of a calm, reassuring manner that lets you know your marketing is in good hands." - Jenny L. Managing Director of 1+1 Cares

"SOURCEsem has provided so much value, especially when I compare it to our past "partners". We needed expertise across our entire digital marketing spectrum and they delivered and continue to deliver. Very Happy!" - Ray L. Business owner of 1+1 Cares

Project Overview

1+1 Cares is a senior care referral business that helps families find trusted senior living and care options. When they came to SOURCEsem, they had just finished a one-year SEO contract with a large marketing agency—with 0 leads from that effort.

The foundation was one of the major issues: 1+1 Cares website was poorly designed, didn’t clearly communicate what the business does, and created confusion instead of guiding visitors to take action. The design also overused bright orange sections, which reduced readability and trust—orange is best used as an accent for buttons and key highlights, not as dominant page blocks.

On top of that, analytics revealed deeper technical problems. A large portion of traffic was landing on 404 pages and internal pages that were never intended for outside visitors—meaning even the traffic they did get was often being wasted.

SOURCEsem created and executed a strategic plan to rebuild the digital foundation first, then scale visibility and lead flow through SEO, paid acquisition, and automation.

Key Challenges

  • Unclear messaging + poor UX: Visitors couldn’t immediately understand the service or next steps.

  • Design choices hurting conversions: Overuse of bright orange created visual fatigue and lowered clarity/trust.

  • Technical issues + misrouted traffic: Google Analytics showed significant traffic landing on 404 pages and internal-only pages.

  • SEO ceiling: Site speed, structure, and on-page fundamentals weren’t built for ranking or conversion.

  • No scalable follow-up: Lead handling depended too heavily on manual processes.

Engagement Summary

SOURCEsem partnered with 1+1 Cares long-term to build a scalable growth engine:

  • Website redesign (UX/UI) to clarify positioning, improve trust, and increase conversions

  • Speed + performance optimization for better user experience and stronger SEO outcomes

  • Technical SEO cleanup (indexation issues, 404 problems, internal pages surfacing externally)

  • On-page SEO improvements across core service pages

  • Content expansion to grow relevant keyword coverage and organic entry points

  • Paid advertising on Google Ads + Facebook to drive high-intent inquiries and retargeting

  • Automation + appointment scheduling to connect care advocates with families faster

  • Weekly email campaigns to stay top-of-mind and improve nurturing + follow-up

  • Social Media posting to attract more organic traffic

Strategy & Execution

1) Rebuild the foundation (so SEO could actually work)

We redesigned the site to reduce confusion and increase action:

  • Clear “what we do” messaging above the fold

  • Improved navigation and service flow

  • Strategic color usage (orange reserved for CTAs/highlights)

  • Faster load times and mobile usability improvements

  • Fixes to tracking + routing so visitors landed on real conversion pages

2) Turn SEO into a growth system

With the site stable, we built compounding visibility:

  • Optimized core pages for senior care referral intent

  • Expanded content to capture more searches across services + geographies

  • Strengthened internal linking and page structure for crawlability and relevance

3) Scale lead flow with paid + automation

To accelerate growth while SEO compounded:

  • High-intent Google Ads campaigns for immediate lead generation

  • Facebook campaigns for awareness and retargeting

  • Automated appointment setting between care advocates and potential clients

  • Ongoing follow-up workflows + weekly email campaigns

Results & Impact

  • Bounce rate reduced from ~60% to ~3% after UX/UI improvements and foundation rebuild

  • Traffic increased by 600%+ over the years, driven by compounding SEO plus paid acquisition

  • Generated hundreds of organic and paid leads

  • Implemented automation + appointment scheduling, improving speed-to-lead and consistency

  • 1+1 Cares expanded from Northern California into Southern California, scaling from ~30 locations to 90+ locations

Why This Worked

The breakthrough came from treating the website as the core product of the marketing system. Once the site clearly communicated the offer, loaded quickly, routed traffic correctly, and captured leads reliably, SEO and paid ads could compound—making growth scalable enough to support expansion across California.
